Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ
Won’t the student be able to exit the app and watch social media like YouTube?
Yes, students are able to exit the app—for example, to watch social media like YouTube—but the app includes an app lock to maintain focus. When a student clicks on a task, they receive a warning that the app will be locked. While doing the task, they cannot exit—the home button and back button will not work, and the return button in the home navigation functions only as a previous button. To exit, they must follow the proper flow by going back, tapping the return button, and entering their PIN to unlock the app.
What makes the app and the device different?
The app manages the full task system, while the device is a no-distraction focus tool designed to show and support one step at a time.
What makes OneTaskMan different from Google Classroom, checklist apps, or even writing tasks on paper?
What makes OneTaskMan different is that it doesn’t just list tasks—it actively guides students through them one step at a time while enforcing focus. Unlike Google Classroom, checklist apps, or paper notes where students can easily feel overwhelmed or get distracted, OneTaskMan structures tasks into small, manageable steps and removes the option to escape midway. This ensures the student stays engaged, reduces cognitive overload, and helps them actually complete the task instead of avoiding it.
Does it work with teachers and students together?
Yes. Teachers create tasks, students complete them step by step, and progress syncs between both sides.
Does it include a device?
There is an optional One Focus device that can display one step at a time and sync with the student app through Bluetooth.
How is OneTaskMan different from tools like Goblin.tools Taskmaster?
OneTaskMan is inspired by step-by-step task breakdown systems, but it goes further by adding real-world classroom and assistive learning infrastructure. Unlike AI-based checklist tools such as Goblin.tools Taskmaster, which focus on helping individuals break down and complete tasks one step at a time on screen, OneTaskMan is designed for structured learning environments and real-time support systems. OneTaskMan includes a live teacher tracking dashboard, allowing educators to monitor student progress in real time, assign structured step-based tasks, and identify when students are stuck or struggling. This makes it especially useful in inclusive classrooms where students may need additional support, such as those with ADHD or executive dysfunction. In addition, OneTaskMan integrates with physical IoT desk hardware, creating a focused learning environment where students can interact with guided steps through a dedicated device. This reduces digital distraction and helps reinforce task completion in a controlled setting. Overall, while other tools focus on individual productivity, OneTaskMan is designed as a connected learning system that combines software, teacher oversight, and physical focus devices to improve task completion and engagement in real educational environments.
